AHMEDABAD: The NRG women in Kenya have cancelled Navratri celebrations planned in the second week of October to express solidarity with the families who have lost their kin in the Westgate mall terror attack in Nairobi.
The Oshwal Mahila Mandal has cancelled the Navratri celebration 'Range ramya, anande ramya' planned on October 9 to mourn to death of people killed in the terror attack.

The women's association had also planned a cooking competition for fasting people, the aarti thali competition and raas-garba.
A prayer meeting has been organized on October 3 to pay homage to the deceased.
Meanwhile, the NRG community settled in Nairobi held a series of prayer meets during the weekend. On Saturday, Hanuman Chalisa recitation programme was held at the Shiv Temple and a bhajan programme wherein over 400 NRGs participated.
The BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir has organized a special prayer meet to pray for the victims.
The SGVP International School has organized a special yagna, where 14 Indian students will offer prayers for peace in Kenya.
